Brown v. Board of Education (1954) gave us to two priorities: distribute resources equitably and remove discriminatory practices and beliefs. Over the past 70 years, our efforts centered on the equitable distribution of resources with limited strategic development of the beliefs necessary to challenge racism, sexism, homophobia, and xenophobia in schools. Presented by Dr. Edward Fergus, this webinar will focus on the major components of our US history that gave permission for these "isms" to exist and persist; and provide strategies individual educators can practice to interrupt those "isms" in themselves and within their learning community.
